Barwon Foods is a locally owned and operated foodservice distributor that has been delivering fresh seafood and quality products to café and restaurants for over 36 years. Servicing the Greater Geelong and surrounding regions, an opportunity exists for an adaptable team player to join our fun and friendly administration team.
About the role:
The successful applicant will be required to take orders over the phone and provide high levels of customer service to our customers in addition to performing other administrative tasks. Approximately 20-30 hours a week over 4 – 5 days
Duties:
- Taking orders from customers via telephone, in person and by email in a professional and timely manner.
- Process and print relevant picking slips, invoices and customer pick up requirements.
- Perform administrative and general office tasks as required
- Data entry
- Maintain customer relationships
- Communicate with various departments within the business to ensure that a high level of customer service and record accuracy is maintained
- Compiling and creating promotional catalogues/advertising material
Skills and Qualifications:
- Customer service focus with an excellent phone manner
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexibility with start and finish times – hours of operation varies between 4:30am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday
- Willingness to take on varied or new tasks within the office
- Capable of working under pressure in a team environment
- Show initiative and a positive attitude
- Ability to multi-task
- Intermediate computer skills
- Attention to detail
