Who are we?
Outcare is a leading provider of reintegration and justice services in Western Australia. Outcare is part of PeopleKind Group, parent company to a diverse and growing group of organisations that deliver services encompassing disability, housing, allied health, justice, child protection and reintegration.
We exist to empower people to live their best life, and we live our values every day. We're respectful, compassionate, courageous, resilient, and collaborative.
At Outcare, we're committed to providing outstanding services for people engaged or at risk of engaging with the justice system. Through our person-centred approach, we support people to regain direction and maintain positive social engagement.
The Program:
We are seeking Disability Justice Case Workers to support our NDIS-funded clients to reintegrate, positively engage with and actively participate in the community. Support is extended to people who are incarcerated and are preparing for release.
The program works directly with clients to manage their complex needs and achieve their goals. This includes directly maintaining positive working relationships with key stakeholders.
The Role:
Disability Justice Case Workers utilise trauma informed, recovery focused and strengths-based approaches to achieve positive outcomes of our clients.
Support tasks are relative to each client's unique strengths and needs to maximise capacity building opportunities whilst reducing the barriers caused by living with an un-supported disability. This includes mentoring, providing transport, making, and attending client appointments and engaging in activities alongside clients. You may also be required to complete official visits for clients who are still incarcerated in Perth Metro prisons.
Ideal candidates will have resilience, be non-judgmental and open minded with the ability to build strong rapport and advocate on behalf of clients. The role is offered on a casual basis with the option to progress to a permanent position.

- A Certificate IV in Community Services/Disability Services/Mental Health or relevant/substantial equivalent experience
- Ability to safely navigate and mitigate high risk behaviours and situations and be able to manage yourself in such situations

- Prior relevant experience and understanding of the challenges that people with a background of trauma may face
- Clear understanding of working in a person-centred manner whilst being culturally appropriate
