The Executive Assistant will be part of the Land Use Management Executive Support team, providing confidential administrative, secretarial and research support to the two Executive Directors, Land Use Management (LUM) and the Division more broadly.

LUM plays a central role in creating and realising opportunities on land across a broad range of industries and interest areas.

The successful candidate will support this role by providing:

  • Executive support services in a busy and dynamic environment.
  • Initiative to use skills to solve administrative problems and implement effective systems;
  • Organisation skills including diary and time management, organise meetings and take minutes and the ability to prioritise workload.

This is a fixed term, full-time position. Successful candidates will be considered, and suitable applicants will be placed in a Pool from which appointments may be made for similar vacancies for a period of 12 months. This process may also be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment. 

To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated administrative experience which enables the provision of professional executive support services.
  • Competent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet multiple deadlines and work with minimum supervision.
  • Well-developed and proficient in the use of MS Office suite.
  • Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context of Personal Leadership as outlined below.

Core leadership behaviours outlined in Leadership Expectations are applicable to this role and should be demonstrated in the context of Personal Leadership. The Personal Leadership context is about the work of individuals not yet in traditional leadership positions who make a direct and immediate difference to the agency. The expected behaviours may be assessed during the recruitment and selection process.

Special Requirements for this position:

The Department will conduct National Police Clearances for applicants successful to this recruitment process.
