Experienced Medical Receptionist sought to join the Dr Cris team. Dr Cris leads a team of integrative health practitioners who go beyond surface-level symptoms to uncover the root cause of health concerns and create a personalised approach for each individual. Our private practice enables us to prioritise the best interests of our patients and their health. We integrate evidence-based precision medicine, advanced screening techniques, and a proactive preventative mindset.
What might my day look like?
• Act as the primary point of contact among clinical staff, accounts, patients, and external partners. This includes managing incoming phone calls and visitors, addressing inquiries with knowledge and diplomacy, email, take messages, and directly calls.
• Keep the doctor and the team informed about time-sensitive and high-priority matters, ensuring prompt follow-up through coordination, monitoring, and communication.
• Coordinate with external laboratories and imaging facilities to maintain up-to-date patient records in a timely manner.
• Request medical records from general practitioners and specialists, organising them within our records system.
• Develop proficiency in all aspects of billing incl. Medicare, private health insurance, insurance claims, etc.
• Collect and process referrals, send correspondence to clients' medical practitioners, maintain detailed documentation, and follow up as necessary.
• Ensure that all relevant information (such as lab results, scans, reports, etc.) is present and accessible to doctors and allied health professionals prior to each appointment.

• Available for set shifts each week:
o Tuesday 8.30am – 5.30pm
o Wednesday 8.30am – 5.30pm
o Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm
o Saturday 8.30pm – 1.30pm
