A04 equivalent $55 + p/h + super
Located in, Brisbane CBD, Queensland
Up to 12 months assignment with potential to extend, pending business and performance requirements
About the role As a Finance Officer, you will provide crucial financial support to the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail Project team.
Your responsibilities include:
Managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Handling purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices.
Providing accurate financial advice and contributing to various reports and briefs.
Developing and maintaining spreadsheet models for analysis.
Ensuring timely and accurate reporting for successful project outcomes.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support business processes and continuous improvement.
Training and developing staff within the RIDO team.
Assisting with end-of-month responsibilities, including accruals and forecasts.
Other duties as required.
About You
To thrive in this role, you need:
A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Demonstrated competency in public sector competencies such as strategic leadership, relationship building, accountability, and governance.
Strong organisational and administrative skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
Must have full working rights in Australia.
Be able to pass and hold national police check.
