CDC Regional Australia Division are seeking an experienced Administration Assistant to join our team based at our Edgeworth office in Newcastle.
Reporting to the General Manager Fleet, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of RAD’s fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained. This role presents an exciting opportunity to grow into a newly created role and operate autonomously with the support of an experienced and established Manager.
Qualifications:
No formal qualifications are required, however previous experience in fleet operations will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain fleet inventory of all vehicles and equipment operated, including records of vehicle make and model, date of purchase, warranty information, etc.
- Maintain records of fuel usage and kilometers for each vehicle
- Assist in coordinating third party repairs and maintenance for vehicles and equipment, including outstanding warranty repairs
- Coordinating claims for damaged vehicles
- Ensure all vehicles are registered and insured
- Maintain records of statutory inspections and registrations with Government authorities
- Working with Fleet Managers to schedule staff training
- Assist to coordinate and monitor apprentice development
- Prepare reports on fleet performance and activities for management
Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed computer literacy including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in asset management would be an advantage
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance scheduling would be an advantage
- Ability to be flexible and use initiative
- Problem solving, being able to think outside the square
