CASAIR Freight is looking to appoint a Freight Coordinator / Administrator, ideally with experience in the Transport and Logistics industry but not essential, to join our busy Freight team on a Monday – Friday basis.

The successful candidate will appreciate the high-quality standards required to meet contractual obligations for our client base including regulatory compliance for Aviation, Dangerous Goods cargo and WHS.
Primary position duties and responsibilities
- Promptly and professionally respond to incoming enquiries from phone, email or website.
- Prompt data entry of all jobs and job updates
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure the correct mode of transport is being utilised
- Continual follow up of time critical movements until delivery
- Daily follow up of all jobs until delivered
- Raise enquiries with suppliers promptly when required
- Provide regular updates to customers by email throughout freight movements
- Maintain email account by filing emails promptly
- Work closely with the Manager to ensure right solutions are offered to the customer
- Work closely with the Manager to ensure detailed handover of outstanding jobs
- Assist Manager with other duties as required
Skills and Attributes:
- Intermediate computer skills
- MS365 and MS SharePoint experience
- Professional phone manner
- High level of communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Lateral thinking
- Can do attitude!
Experience (preferred but not essential)
- Previous freight or transport experience
- Dangerous Goods Acceptance by Air
