Hse Manager

As an HSE Manager, you must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise, consistent messages verbally and in writing. You will work to identify best practices and incorporate these standard methodologies into our standards. A successful HSE Manager will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the clients, partners and collaborators and inspire change by providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.

The role:
As our Health Safety Environment Manager, you will be at the forefront of our health and safety initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be:
- Developing processes and implementing and monitoring programs to provide a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Conducting health and safety audits and inspections as per audit schedules and risk profile of the works.
- Support the delivery team and ensure compliance with the project construction documentation process.
- Monitoring safety and health performance and ensuring compliance with safety and health policy, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Coordinating and leading incident investigations to determine causes and mitigating and preventative measures.
- Oversee project reviews and detailed reports for executive management.
- Secure growth opportunities and initiate new projects.
- Oversee the Development, design and implementation of improved business processes or solutions required to meet customer expectations.
- Supporting the implementation of the project's safety strategy and associated actions.
- Facilitating and coordinating relevant safety meetings and forums for project team members, stakeholders, and contractors.

Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar HSE management role.
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or Environmental Management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in contractor management, Head contractor.
- Experience in construction and building management.
- In-depth knowledge of local and national health and safety regulations and standards.
- Trades or construction background desirable
- Strong analytical skills to assess risks and identify potential hazards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage employees and promote a safety culture.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve safety goals.
