Eastwood Primary School and Deaf Facility, in partnership with its community, seeks to optimise the potential of each individual and promote a friendly, safe and healthy school environment. Deaf students are integrated with additional support provided by Teachers of the Deaf. The school was opened in 1953 in quiet surroundings in Ringwood East in the City of Maroondah.The 597 students are mostly from the local area with the Facility for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students servicing the surrounding districts. A new rebuild has delivered state of the art, contemporary, open learning spaces in three interconnected learning pods. best practice and focuses on the whole school, small groups of children and individual students.
SC1 Demonstrated high level of proficiency and experience in using the Department of Education payroll software.

Range 4 is distinguished by broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of finance, Human Resource and other support functions. Range 4 is responsible for managing a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations.
Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction minimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.
Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
- Manage HR, school local payroll and recruitment procedures and ensure all policy and legal requirements are met.
- Develop and implement professional development programs for staff and provide advice in the development of professional development policy throughout the school.
- Manage industrial relations policy and procedures.
- Develop and implement Human Resource planning, strategies and guidelines.
- Research, plan and prepare development programs for support staff.
- Administer training to school staff in specialist professional support areas, e.g. therapy, social work and psychology services.
- Provide authoritative advice to the leadership team on support structures and work practices.
- Assist in the development of work practices that ensure appropriate occupational health and safety standards are maintained.
- Manage procedures relating to employee relations issues.
- Assist in the development of Human Resource planning.
- Manage Workcover procedures.
- Support Principal with SRP reconciliation.
- Provide support front office staff and principal team including receptions and telephone queries as required.
- Other duties as directed by the Business Manager or Principal team.
Individuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
