The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for the right person to join our high performing and supportive team of Business Partners who enable and support the organisation to achieve its goals and objectives. This is a 12-month Parental Leave cover with flexibility to work either part time (30 hours per week) or full time from our office located in Baywater.
The HR Business Partner plays a pivotal role in driving organisational success by effectively managing the people-related aspects of the business and supporting the attainment of strategic objectives.
Your Responsibilities
- Coaching and guiding managers to improve business performance through effective performance management, Employee Relations, Conflict Resolution and Grievance processes
- Provides guidance to line managers in relation to the interpretation and application of HR Policies and Procedures
- Discusses, and if necessary, challenges ideas to ensure line managers are acting with the best interests of the wider business
- Provides guidance on Workforce planning and Succession Planning, supporting the annual Talent Management & Succession Planning process with line managers
- Supports Divisional Recruitment activity in conjunction with the recruitment team
- Administration duties including employee movement paperwork, offer letters, etc
About You
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience, however we would love to hear from people who feel they would be a great fit but may not tick all of the boxes:
- Demonstrated experience in a People advisory role: specifically, where leadership coaching and employee relations case management were integral deliverables.
- Formal qualifications in HR: these are important, but equally important is a demonstrated ability to apply a contemporary, evidence-based approach to employee experience and solutions.
- Relationship building: this is one of the capabilities that matter most for this role. Being able to demonstrate well-developed skills in this area and in confidently advising and coaching others is critical.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment with competing priorities
- Previous HR experience in a blue collar/manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential
