About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager this role primarily acts as a Business Partner delivering operational HR advice and the provision of the full range of general HR services and activities to managers and supervisors across the business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the development of talent acquisition plans.
- Manage end to end recruitment activities against labour forecasts.
- Manage orientation, training and probation review plans.
- Manage annual performance management and development program.
- Manage bi-annual bonus review process.
- Support supervisors and managers to monitor and manage excessive absenteeism.
- Manage disciplinaries, grievances, investigations and conciliations.
- Manage ER/IR compliance including coaching and advice to managers and supervisors.
- Implement HR policies, practices, and procedures, and ensure compliance with legislation.
- Provide accurate and timely advice and support to employees and managers surrounding employment terms and conditions, HR procedure and policy.
- Analyse and recommend training requirements to enhance employee performance.
- Provide support with the development of clear succession plans for all key staff.
- Preparation and facilitation of various training programs.
- Provide operational support regarding management of performance, employee development, disciplinary process, and ER issues.
- Help to design and shape organisational change initiatives.
- Promote occupational health and safety and develop safer and healthier ways of working.
- Ensure the organisation is aware of, and complies with, all legislation relating to its duty of care, in all workplace OHS practices.
To be successful you will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or similar.
- Extensive practical experience in recruitment practices.
- A demonstrated understanding of current employment legislation.
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite.
- Well-developed communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise based on business objectives and risk.
- Ability to influence, counsel and mentor.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- High level of organisational and time management skills.
- High level of ethics, honesty and integrity.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Attention to detail.
