Role Summary:
- Managing and creation of detailed shop drawings for manufacture of furniture and joinery for commercial projects, using AutoCAD.
- High quality renderings for concept development and client presentations, created in 3D StudioMax
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing detailed furniture, joinery and operational equipment construction drawings for commercial projects, including hotels, shopping centres, restaurants and other commercial environments.
- Assess product drawings and concepts to ensure buildability, practicality and that are fit for purpose in a commercial environment.
- Review supplier drawings to ensure all details are captured prior to manufacturing.
- Use your AutoCAD, 3D StudioMax and Adobe Creative suite skills to generate clear detailed drawings, concepts and diagrams for client presentations, manufacturing, and to assist QC product reviews.
- Liaising with stakeholders to determine requirements for drawings and renderings
- Working on multiple projects at various stages through to completion
Skills, Experience & Attributes
- Degree level qualifications in industrial design essential
- Prior experience producing detailed furniture construction drawings is critical
- Proven proficiency in using AutoCAD, 3D StudioMax and Adobe Creative Suite
- Extensive experience in 3D modelling
- Sound understanding and demonstrated experience in a manufacturing shopfloor is a MUST
- Ability to review, assess and interpret architectural plans and drawings
- A strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
- Practical knowledge of furniture and joinery construction methods
- Ideally approximately 5 years’ experience drawing and rendering in a furniture/Joinery based business is highly desirable
- Previous experience working in a project-based business would be an advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively in Chinese essential to be able to deal with the company’s major stakeholders
- Highly developed interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad cross section of stakeholders.

- Ability to cope with multiple projects to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
