Legal Secretary / Conveyancer

Are you ready to embark on a legal adventure that’s anything but ordinary? Look no further! EJS Law in Kew is looking for a dynamic Legal Secretary / Conveyancer to join our tight-knit team. Picture this: you’ll be the Gabrielle to our Xena Warrior Princess, the Watson to our Sherlock, or better yet, the Donna to our Harvey Specter. 

As the right-hand person to our sole practitioner, you will dive into a wide range of exciting conveyancing matters, including residential sales and purchases (including off-the-plan matters), residential purchase contract reviews, deceased estate transmission applications, retirement village leases and commercial transactions.  There will also be plenty of estate planning work, will signings and reception and office duties and you will get to chat with truly the best clients you will ever meet. Your role will be diverse and filled with opportunities to learn and grow.

To be a perfect fit for our team, we'd love you to bring:

📊 Minimum of 2 years experience in conveyancing.

📂 Recent experience with Smokeball and/or LEAP (we use Smokeball, but if you can use LEAP, you can use Smokeball).

💼 Experience with PEXA and Duties Online.

⏳ Excellent time management and organisational skills.

💼 Proficient MS Office skills.

🗣️ Strong communication and writing skills.

💪 High enthusiasm, motivation and reliability.

🔍 Strong attention to detail.

🤝 Ability to quickly establish a good rapport with clients because our clients love a chat, so you had better be ready with some excellent small talk.

🌟 A positive and pro-active team attitude, but also capable of working independently.  

Flexibility in working hours, working from home and other conditions may be considered for the right candidate, but we do expect at least two days of the working week to be spent in our Kew office.  Salary is negotiable and based on experience.
