Due to the strong demand for our services, we are seeking an experienced Loan Writer to join our dynamic and energetic team in Clayton, VIC.
What will you do?
As a Loan Writer you will be leading the loan application process from the initial document collection through to settlement. Reporting to the General Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing relationships with your allocated clients
- Working alongside an experienced file administrator throughout the application process
- Researching lender policies and developing strategies
- Reviewing and lodging applications through the Mercury CRM and ApplyOnline
- Liaising with banks, solicitors, accountants and real estate agencies to ensure a smooth lending experience
- Assisting management with operational requirements

What do you need:
- Minimum 2 years Mortgage Broking / Loan Writing / Processing and administration experience
- A positive, team oriented, can-do attitude with a good sense of humour
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Advanced computer skills & Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Experience with Mercury/Nexus CRM would be highly regarded, but not essential
- Experience with Apply Online
- Knowledge of policies across a range of lenders is essential
- Commercial loan experience would be highly regarded, but not essential
- Cert IV / Diploma in Mortgage Broking & Finance is preferred but not essential
- Successful applicants will need to pass a police and credit check
