Position Overview:
Are you ready to take on a crucial role in our team? We're looking for a Maintenance Officer to join us on a full-time permanent basis. This role is based both at our office and client sites, making it a dynamic and diverse opportunity within our operations Department. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, you'll play a vital role in overseeing maintenance activities to ensure the seamless operation of our facilities and services.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Undertake routine preventative maintenance tasks and respond promptly to reactive maintenance requirements, including minor unit and common area maintenance (e.g. servicing taps, changing light globes and minor repairs).
- Supervise contractors and tradespeople to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Participate in SIL house set-up as required from time to time.
- Travel to undertake specific property maintenance tasks and pick up supplies.
- Maintain equipment, promptly report malfunctions, and ensure efficient completion of tasks.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to manage maintenance activities effectively.
Criteria & Qualities:
- Hold a cleared Working with Children Check (blue card) and NDIS Screening Check (yellow card).
- Possess a current First Aid Certificate and Queensland Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of equipment operation and safety.
- Have proficient IT skills and excellent communication abilities.
- Display a genuine desire to provide quality support to individuals with disabilities.
