Overview:
As a Medical Administration/Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional administrative support and customer service to patients, clinical staff, and visitors in a healthcare setting. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, phone management and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and ensure a positive experience from arrival to departure
Schedule appointments and manage the multiple appointment calendar efficiently
Answer phone calls and emails, addressing patient inquiries and directing them to the appropriate department
Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and process payments
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely assistance
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and organising documents
Essential:
Professional personal presentation and demeanor
Previous experience in a Medical Receptionist or customer service role preferred
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and medical software (e.g. Zedmed)
Ability to swiftly adapt and learn new tasks with efficiency and professionalism
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor towards patients and colleagues
Capability to work autonomously
Office hours presently span from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Flexibility in availability to accommodate different days and hours is required.
