Medical Receptionist

About us

We are a sports physiotherapy clinic providing the highest level of care catering to both general physiotherapy needs and specialized sports physiotherapy requirements. Our business is growing, so we would love to hear from you if you would like to work in a happy, vibrant work place. We are looking for a friendly and reliable person who can perform reception and administrative duties. You will create a welcoming first impression for our patients, providing them with seamless reception and administration support. This position can be part time or casual - we are open 7 days a week so shifts are very flexible. Weekend work is optional but not required. The hours would ideally would suit a student studying anything health related at University or a parent with school age children. If you don't have any experience, we will be happy to train you, we just need a willing participant. If this is you, please apply!

Qualifications & experience

• Have a strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent in communication and interpersonal skills in order to work smoothly with the rest of our staff team and patients/patients' families
• Passionate about your role and take pride in seeing a practice grow and be successful
• Attention to detail, efficient and organised
• If you have any experience in medical reception work, medical customer service and/or medical administration, that would be wonderful. However, the most important thing to us is a willing, “can do”, proactive attitude!
• You must be able to multi-task, think on your feet and just be bright and capable with a happy disposition!

Tasks & responsibilities

• Welcome all and greet patients and ensure they are attended to courteously
• Schedule appointments, billing and payments, rescheduling
• Handling all emails and scans and liaising with the practitioners for other administration duties as required.
• Helping out with cleaning and general tidy up once - twice a day, either after morning session and at end of day
• Prompt and professional resolution of all telephone inquiries
