Warrandyte Medical Centre is seeking a Part-Time Medical Receptionist who aligns with our values, that is focused on providing a high-quality experience for our patients, from the time of arrival until the time of departure, creating a lasting positive and professional impression.
You receive a dedicated training program upon commencement, that includes a full orientation and induction, online compliance training, and support from your Practice Manager and colleagues. We ensure that you have the necessary skills and training to provide consistent and quality patient service to ensure your success in the role.
Position Objective:

To provide high quality, personalised service to patients through the application of service standards and core processes. In this role, the Medical Receptionist works and contributes as a team member and rotates through a series of roles within the medical practice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To ensure the front desk is always attended during operating hours.
  • To greet and admit all patients in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • To provide excellent service to all medical professionals.
  • To ensure that all patient details acquired are accurate.
  • Manage patient’s expectations regarding length of waiting time.
  • Receive and respond to direction provided from the Practice Manager.
  • Other Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Scanning, filing, faxing and archiving.
  • Interact with team members in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and project activities as required.
  • Preferred Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:
  • Administration
  • Previous Customer Service experience
  • Basic First Aid Certification
  • Intermediate computer knowledge and skills
  • Previous experience with busy telephone systems
  • Certificate in Health Administration or in Health Support Services well regarded.
  • CPR Certification
