AddressRenaissance Dermatology is looking for an experienced and exceptional Medical Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis of two to three days a week, 9am to 5pm. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by managing administrative tasks and providing excellent customer service.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Greeting all incoming visitors and patients in a prompt and professional manner
- Liaising with patients and their families, GPs, other health professionals and their staff in a compassionate manner
- Handling and directing all inbound calls
- Ensuring all referrals, voicemails and emails are actioned in a timely manner
- Booking new, follow up and procedural appointments for patients
- Front desk reception duties include, but is not limited to, private/medicare/DVA billings, end-of-day banking reconciliation, confirming patient's appointments and scanning of medical records
- Handling of incoming mail and preparation of mail to send
- Being a key communication link between patients and their doctors - handling simple patients requests and answering their questions and relaying other queries/concerns to the doctor involved in a timely manner
- At times operating phototherapy machine for patients (training will be provided)
- At times operating steriliser machine (training will be provided)
- Other ad hoc administration duties as required
- Maintaining reception, waiting room and kitchen area clean, neat and presentable
- Secure disposal of confidential documents
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of Medical Receptionist experience is required
- Exceptional customer service skills and interpersonal skills
- Experience using practice management software, Zedmed, is highly regarded
- Reliable, approachable with strong and positive work ethic
