A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Medical Secretary with a mature outlook to work 5 days per week. This is a wonderful opportunity for a candidate to really shine and put their current medical secretarial skills to great use. Working for a Surgical Specialist Urology Clinic in the north. Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Secretary to join their practice on a permanent full-time basis Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Hours are 8.30 am - 5.00 pm. This urological practice specialising in men and women's health, requires the assistance of an experienced Medical Secretary to assist in all facets of the role. The ideal candidate will show high professionalism with their mature and polite manner, understand the importance of confidentiality, and possess a calm and pleasant demeanour.

The principal responsibilities of the role will include:

• Diary management
• Run consulting sessions - greet patients, answer phones, make appointments.
• Follow up with patient's pre and postoperatively.
• Liaise with GPS, other urologists and referring specialists.
• Patient billing: consulting accounts
• EFTPOS, HIC online, Eclipse, Medicare, DVA
• Fast and accurate keyboard skills
• Preparation of theatre quotes
• Theatre/hospital bookings
• Use of Genie Medical software

Essential Criteria:

• Previous experience working in a busy surgical medical practice.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Professional mature outlook
• Computer literate together with solid and accurate keyboard skills
