About the Role
Part of the Membership and Event Services team, the Event Services Coordinator will assist in servicing confirmed business event partnerships and member activities, including project support, administrative functions and reporting. This role will lead the operational delivery of stakeholder engagement initiatives across the portfolio and extend high-level stakeholder support, both internally and externally.
A summary of your key responsibilities includes:
- Project lead BEDA produced events, liaising with key stakeholders regarding event requirements with oversight of project budgets and governance protocols;
- Administer confirmed Business Event financial commitments are met and associated reporting;
- Develop and distribute e-comms to members and key industry stakeholders, compiling content from wider teams;
- Provide general administrative, reporting and business support for the Event Services team, including managing and updating project plans, updating the CRM, and responding to client enquiries;
- Manage fortnightly updates and proactive research for the Business & Major Events calendar; and
- Coordinate domestic and international travel in relation to business development, and support the preparation of client itineraries, and logistics management.
About You
This role would suit a passionate business events operator with a strong working knowledge of the industry and outstanding project management, organisation and administration skills. To be considered for this role, your background must meet the following requirements:
- Brisbane based candidate, with the ability to work in the BEDA office in the Brisbane CBD for the majority of the week;
- Minimum 3 years' professional experience in business events, focusing on event management, project management and administration;
- High proficiency in MS Office suite, working knowledge of CRM's / project management systems;
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to meet requests in a timely manner;
- Proven time management, prioritisation and organisation skills;
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal; and
- A genuine love of Brisbane and a desire to play a vital role in the visitor economy of the city.
