Our client is one of the most well regarded and respected businesses in the Australian drinks industry. They are currently in an exciting phase with the acquisition of a new business and the further enhancement of their own brands. As such they are recruiting a National Account Manager - Independents to work alongside the National Sales Manager in a diverse role with long term career growth opportunities.
You will be responsible for the development and execution of agreed business and promotional plans to achieve volume, share and profit objectives across the Independent retail channel. You will be part of a close knit and high performing team in a progressive business with a supportive culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and implement strategic business plans for IBA, LMG, Liquor Stax, Thirsty Camel VIC and Liquor Barons WA across the Beer, Wine and RTD categories.
- Execute the business plan brilliantly at both an account and field level
- Utilise customer and market insight and intelligence to measure the performance of the plan, use the information to identify future profitable opportunities
- Ensure investment is measured as per plan and agreed national framework
- Prepare annual national budgets in conjunction with National sales manager and GM sale
- Understand and deliver to contractual requirements as agreed with customers, vendors, clients, statutory bodies
- Work with Marketing, all independent National account category teams, state managers, and agencies to build the national BTL frame work for all Account banners and the Key independent customers across the country
- Previous Independent channel account management experience.
- Previous experience in beer or RTD categories
- Experience in customer management and delivering on business strategy
- Commercial acumen and an understanding of the impact on sales, profit and market share of funds invested
- Superior communication skills and experience presenting business plans to customers
- Relationship building and influencing skills both internally and externally
- Experience negotiating to achieve mutually agreeable outcomes
