Kalahari Farms is a diversified family-owned agri-business based in Mareeba, 1 hour west of Cairns, Far North Queensland. The business is involved with a broad range of agricultural enterprises such as avocados, macadamias, and poultry operations.
We are currently on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Office Administrator to join our business. If you are honest, reliable, self-motivated and pride yourself on your attention to detail - then this opportunity could be just what you are looking for. The role is negotiable with a full-time or part-time option available for the right person who wants a good work/life balance. The salary package will be negotiable dependent on experience.
Responsibilities of this position will include:
- All aspects of office administration and management.
- Data entry and processing of all invoices and sales receipts into the relevant software platforms.
- Attend to updating the Xero files for all bank transactions and keep this up to date.
- Manage payments for all supplier invoices, including bank uploads.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Weekly payroll processing, including processing of wages and superannuation and report on leave entitlements and balances.
- Maintaining insurances and registrations for company equipment and properties.
- Co-ordinating with farm managers to keep business running smoothly and assisting with Freshcare and other audit requirements.
Requirements and Skills:
- Relevant experience in office administration and Bookkeeping/Accounting or equivalent.
- Full Australian Work Rights.
- Strong working knowledge of Accounting Software platforms and data entry and bank reconciliation experience in either Xero or MYOB desirable.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Possess a broad range of administration skills, attention to detail, exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in record-keeping, data analysis and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong time management, including a sense of urgency, the ability to meet deadlines and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Develop positive, professional relationships internally and externally.
- Trustworthy and professional person and a commitment to confidentiality.
