Job description

Office Administrator – Melbourne

CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is a major international company that works within the energy sector. They are currently seeking a Office Administrator with local Australian HR experience. This is a hybrid role: working from home and out of their Melbourne office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Being the first point of contact for HR, IT, and procurement matters
  • Overseeing and executing all office management related activities, including office operations, facilities, filing, and data management
  • Designing, implementing, improving, and overseeing the adherence to general office policies and procedures in line with other business processes
  • Providing internal business support in line with organisational policies and procedures to facilitate business processes, activities, and colleagues in the execution of their work
  • Monitoring and reporting staff adherence to key HR policies and procedures
  • Running the day-to-day office operations
  • Welcoming visitors, arranging meeting venues, and facilitates catering and other provisions as required
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Executing a variety of administrative tasks, mainly within business support processes such as HR, Finance, Procurement, Public Relations, and IT
  • Establishing and monitoring procedures for record keeping, ensuring security, integrity, and confidentiality of data

PROFILE

  • Degree qualification in a business-related subject
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar general office management role
  • Sound knowledge of local HR practices: time attendance, recording absences, vacation planning, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficient in MS Office software
  • Detail orientated and organised, with the ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
  • The right to live and work in Australia
