The role:
The PGU plays a fundamental role in ensuring quality care and service delivery outcomes for clients across Centacare services. As a Nursing Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, focusing on Aged Care and Disability Services. Your role will involve providing support and advice in community service operational areas.
Key Duties:
- Contribute to implementing Centacare’s Practice Governance Framework, apply governance principles to enhance service delivery, and actively promote a robust governance culture.
- Administer and coordinate Practice Governance referrals, manage immediate client safety risks, and collaborate with key stakeholders for ongoing Client Risk Management.
- Identify systemic trends, assist in research, provide input into policy and procedure development, and support the learning and development team in implementing practice governance and clinical training.
- Uphold health and safety standards, commit to safeguarding children and adults at risk, meet legislative obligations, and contribute to reconciliation efforts.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Nursing with 3+ years of clinical experience
- Registration with APHRA and a current practicing certificate
- Proven clinical experience in Health, Aged Care, Disability, or Community Sector as a Clinical Nurse Consultant/ Clinical Nurse Specialist or Registered Nurse
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to client outcomes and social justice
- Ability to obtain an NDIS workers screening card and working with children check.
- Ability to obtain and pass a police check.
