About the Role
Teys Australia Food Solutions (TAFS) are seeking a qualified Quality Assurance Coordinator to join the Quality team based at our Morningside/Hemmant processing sites in QLD. The main focus of this role is to maintain the integrity of the food safety, compliance and quality requirements to ensure our customers’ expectations are met. The role will also perform as the second in charge to the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager.
Additional role requirements include:
- Review results of third-party lab for samples/swabs and verification.
- Daily review and completion of pre-shipment paperwork prior to release for dispatch.
- Assist HACCP team to maintain quality control standards in line with the operational requirements.
- Manage and ensure calibration schedule for all testing equipment is completed by staff responsible.
- Assist QA Manager in the completion of internal audits (Systems/CCP’s/GMP) and external audits (announced/unannounced).
- Provide input and support in relation to Work Instructions and training operators.
- Ensure work procedures and all other form changes are documented and communicated to key staff.
About You
It is essential that you have the following experience/skills:
- Qualifications and experience in HACCP Principles & Practices.
- Previous experience to BRC, SFP Qld, DAWE, WSEP and CFMSR standards.
- A “can do” attitude and willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated ability to write work instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to pro-actively seek out opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of staff, both technical and non-technical personnel with regards to food safety and quality matters.
- Own transport to be able to support two sites, as required.
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualification in Food Science/Food Technology (or similar discipline)
- Intermediate level computer literacy - Microsoft Office suite
- Sound navigation knowledge of Uni-Works, Information Leader (iLeader)
- Internal and/or external auditing experience.
- Experience in the Ready to Eat Small-goods and Meat Processing industries.
- Experience in a High-Risk production environment
- Knowledge of the relevant Australian Standards, FSANZ Food Standards Code and various State regulations
