This civil contractor is celebrating 20 years in the industry as a success story starting with one piece of machinery, and now about to receive it's R3 accreditation to build projects in the $5m to $10m range.
If you ask the company Director what his secret is, he'll be the first to tell you: “there's no secret, you just got to hire people that are better than you and don't stand in their way!”.
A long-term friend of mine is their General Manager and he moved their from one of the heavyweights in the industry, and he has never looked back.
It is a company built on friendship, principles and a fair go. These guys are far from a cowboy outfit, yet also very far from a top tier National Civil Company. This is the kind of business you want to work for where everybody knows your name, you can forge true friendships and your work really makes a difference.
They specialise in the areas of: council works, road infrastructure, streetscapes, footpaths, concrete, traffic management and quarries.
Due to the winning of further work this year, their R3 road accreditation and enhancement of their capabilities, they're looking to welcome a Project Administrator to the business.
Your RoleThis is an opportunity for a Project Administrator to work with a great bunch of principled people who pay good, solid money for you to do what you love with a steady project pipeline and exciting enhancement of an upgrade in tender and build capacity. These guys really do offer you a career and not just a day's work with exceptional loyalty within the business and an excellent name in the industry that would look excellent on your resume.
Their office is based in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne with all of their work located in that area other than one project in the North. You will work closely with the General Manager of the business (who I can't speak highly enough of). He's an easy-going, funny guy who never blows his own horn, and has built it all in the industry with an excellent reputation. I know so many people who have worked with him and for him over the years and they've learned a lot, had great fun and have maintained close contact with him even across states.
You will be directly involved in assisting with the tender process, client liaison and financials of these projects.
To be considered for this role, you must have experience in Project Administration in civil construction. A construction industry white card is preferred but we can provide that training. We will also provide you with First Aid and Fire Warden Training qualifications to add to your resume. We also dedicate one day a month to leadership training for all of our staff on top of paying for continuous training in whatever qualification you believe you need to do your job better and help your career.
You have the opportunity to align yourself with a Civil Contractor who takes care of their staff. All of our employment is permanent and long-term with the ability to move up the ladder and progress in the business as you continue to grow with the company.
You can expect a solid salary package as well as to work with a highly respected contractor with an excellent name in the industry. When you find out who it is, you will agree with this point for sure.
You will also be provided with a vehicle with full private use, fuel card and team performance bonuses.
