The role

The Operational Technology (OT) branch is responsible for leading the delivery and support of real-time operational systems within South East Water, and is aligned under South East Water's Delivery strategy.

The Project ManagerCyber Security will deliver Operational Technology and IT Cyber Security initiatives, as well as work on ad-hoc projects when required. The role will be accountable for the ongoing analysis, identification and implementation of Cyber Security initiatives, ensuring that project deliverables are met and the appropriate key business stakeholders across both IT and OT (Operational Technology) divisions are engaged.

The Project Manager's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing Cyber Security and other project streams ensuring project scheduling, management, initiatives, financial accountability, program framework and governance is met.
  • Managing the Cyber Security development of program strategies specific to the area of control.
  • Managing the Operational Technology organisational and change management activities.
  • Contributing strongly to the communications strategy and implementation plan for the program.
  • Leading the analysis, identification and validation of key initiatives across OT and IT.
  • Defining the initiatives for the Program and ensuring delivery.
  • Developing business cases required to justify the operational capacity initiatives.
  • Managing ad-hoc projects at when required.
Who are you?

This two-year fixed term role requires a tertiary qualified and experienced Project Management professional armed with a minimum of seven to ten years' experience in managing complex and diverse, large scale systems/technology programs.

Candidates will also require the following key skills, knowledge and experience to be successful in this crucial role:

  • Demonstrated experience managing Cyber Security solution delivery at an enterprise level,
  • Relevant qualifications in technology / business- PMP or PMBOK / Prince accreditations and agile methodologies
  • Understanding of Cyber Security technology, risk and governance.
  • Program management experience (including overseeing all activities related to program direction, scope, deliverables, planning, resource allocation and assignment, project health and reporting, problem resolution and collaboration with senior stakeholders and third party partners).
  • Experience in Operational Technology (OT), in both government and large corporates (water or utility organisations preferred).
  • Experience delivering transformational solutions.
  • Experience in tracking and delivering transformational programs including management of work within BAU constraints.
  • Experience and understanding in Cyber Security frameworks.
  • Excellent people, stakeholder management skills and communication skills (both written and verbal).
