Project Manager - Defence

Incat Crowther is recruiting for a Project Manager with Australian maritime defence industry experience to be involved in the design of high-profile, military vessels.

Role Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following: -

• Timely and accurate delivery of design information that achieves program technical requirements and KPI’s
• Project technical authority
• Implementation of IC’s quality assurance processes
• Effective management of assigned technical resources
• Identification and mitigation of project technical risks
• Project point of contact for Client
• Attendance at project review meetings with various internal and external stakeholders

Role Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following experience and attributes: -

• A degree in Naval Architecture or similar engineering discipline
• Australian permanent residency or citizenship
• Minimum 5 years Project Manager experience working in the Australian maritime defence industry
• Familiar with Government contract review processes and technical frameworks
• Strong engineering and technical skills associated with the design of ships
• Effective risk management skills
• Professional and commercially astute 
• A good working knowledge in the use of AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent technical and commercial communication skills, both written and verbal
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and the drive to deliver
