About the ROLE: We are looking for a motivated Administration Assistant who will be responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks:
- Secretarial support for the Accountants & Bookkeepers
- Collating tax returns and activity statements, formatting documents, proof reading, editing
- Mail inward/outward
- Liaising with clients via email, phone, in person
- Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
- Liaising with Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC)
- ASIC corporate secretarial responsibilities
- General MYOB AO Database maintenance
- Diary management with appointments
- General and ad-hoc administration duties
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Experience not essential but ideally you will have had 3-5 years’ experience in a public practice accounting firm OR experience as an administration assistant in another industry, and possess the following:
- A motivated, mature and proactive attitude
- Keen eye, with attention to detail
- Be able to work autonomously, taking ownership of the role
- Present professionally at all times
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
- Experience with MYOB Accountants Office/Accountants Enterprise and XERO accounting software is an advantage

The role will allow you to have a direct line of communication with the Managing Director and Accountants’ – no micro-managing.
