Buddies Community Access Network (C.A.N) is a local organisation, established in 2017, providing NDIS Core Support services in and around the Ballarat area. Buddies C.A.N operates differently to other disability providers. We understand that in life, not everyone is suited to each other. Overview of the role
The Recruitment and Administration Officer is responsible for undertaking end to end employee recruitment across the organisation, supporting all teams to onboard qualified and skilled candidates. The role is also responsible for ensuring compliance of all employees as per the standards and requirements of both NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and Buddies C.A.N.
Key Responsibilities
- Place job advertisements across relevant recruitment channels based on service need
- Evaluate and screen suitable applications, resumes and cover letters
- Undertake telephone screenings in a timely manner
- Refer qualified applicants to managers and set up formal interviews
- Complete pre-employment reference checks for successful applicants
- Prepare and distribute employee packs for successful applicants
- Coordinate the onboarding process for all successful applicants and ensure all mandatory requirements are met.
- Issue notifications to unsuccessful candidates and provide feedback where required
- Ensure compliance of all employees as per the standards and requirements of both NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and Buddies C.A.N
- Upload all relevant employee compliance documents to Dropbox in a timely manner
- Demonstrate behaviours that support organizational values and a positive workplace culture
Skills and Mandatory Requirements
To perform this role successfully, the incumbent must be able to satisfactorily demonstrate the following key qualifications, experience and skills.
Desired, but not mandatory:
- A qualification in Human Resources or relevant
Essential skills:
- Demonstrated relevant previous work experience in a similar role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously and also as a team player
- Ability to prioritise and multitask with high attention to detail
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel and database skills
Essential Requirements:
- Successful completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module ( or willing to obtain )
- Current employee Working with Children’s Check ( or willing to obtain )
- Current and valid Driver’s License.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain )
