We are seeking a Research Portfolio Administration Officer to join Research Infrastructure, Research Portfolio, Academic Division.
The Research Portfolio Administration Officer role has a strong focus on client service within the Business Operations Team of Research Infrastructure. Research Infrastructure consists of ten diverse research facilities and approximately 200 staff located at Gardens Point, Kelvin Grove and other distributed sites. With a core focus on meeting and growing the research needs of the university, working within Research Infrastructure is dynamic, exciting and rewarding. Research Infrastructure (RI) is a dynamic, client focused, business unit consisting of the central business operations team and ten research facilities including; the Central Analytical Research Facility (CARF), the Research Engineering Facility (REF), the Biological Research Facility (BRF), eResearch, Visual and Interactive Engagement Solutions for Engagement and Research (ViseR), the Digital Observatory, the Samford Ecological Research Facility (SERF), the Design and Fabrication Facility (DeFAB) and the Medical Engineering Research Facility (MERF) and the Herston Imaging Research Facility (HIRF). RI is composed of approximately two hundred staff and academics located across both QUT campuses (Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove) and multiple distributed sites..
What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of an associate diploma level qualification and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to connect and collaborate with a diverse range of people at all levels in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality.
- Demonstrated high level written communication skills including the ability to draft routine correspondence with a high degree of accuracy.
- Demonstrated digital literacy skills including Microsoft Office, electronic records management systems and databases.
- High level organisational skills with a proven ability to effectively and efficiently prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in asset management and coordination of stocktakes/reviews.
- Ability to embrace and participate in change and respond to unexpected challenges at short notice.
