About the Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and skilled coordinator to join our Communications team and contribute to the development of our brand by utilising your outstanding organisational, event coordination and copy and design skills. You will be joining a busy team that works hard but has fun while doing it.
This role plays a significant part in supporting the growth and improvement of our brand and works closely with stakeholders across the business to proactively support the creation of engaging content and streamline the process of delivering events by our teams.
As the Resource and Event coordinator, your main responsibilities will include:
- Developing a process and annual calendar to map, report on and forward plan event attendance across the organisation and develop and event tool kit (checklist, risk assessment, logistics, operations on the day).
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of annual big-ticket events, such as Seniors Rights Service All Staff Conference, Carers Expo, Seniors Festival, Yabun, Easter Show and Mardi Gras.
- Manage promotional collateral and resource distribution for the organisation, including the development of a collateral register to monitor and control stock levels.
- Assist in the design of a resource budget including coordinating payments and tracking and recording expenses.
- Support the development of content, resources, presentations, prospectus documents, videos and event SharePoint pages and Team site.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or 3+ years demonstrated experience in communications or event management.
- Experience coordinating events
- Demonstrated ability to develop a project plan including controls and supporting documentation (i.e., checklists, risk assessment, logistics, operations on the day).
- Demonstrated flexibility. This role is not a typical 9-5 role, you’ll need flexibility to work outside standard hours from time to time.
- Must have a can-do attitude and be a quick learner and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex information concisely to a diverse range of people.
- Skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, decision making and problem solving.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently including the ability to prioritise your own work and deliver results within agreed deadlines.
- Highly proficient with technology and software including Microsoft Office 365.
