The role

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Sales Engineer to drive and increase our commercial sales in NSW.  This role will support, develop & establish new business opportunities through various networks to meet sales targets.  Being one step ahead of competitor activity is paramount in a very competitive HVAC environment. Maintaining and developing strong client relationships with an existing customer network specifically with consulting engineers and commercial contractors to ensure profitable growth.  The position is based in NSW working within the state based sales team however the role reports directly to the General Manager Commercial. This is a pivotal role and great opportunity for an experienced, Sales Engineer to make a significant impact in the NSW market.  The job will involve regular travel in and around NSW and surrounding regions.

The person

The successful candidate will be a high performing business developer with proven experience in demonstrating the highest degree of relationship management skills.  You will have an impressive track record of planning and negotiating with the ability to set strategic direction and develop business plans to support growth.  Proven experience in developing and influencing relationships is essential.  You will be required to actively promote Seeley International’s brand and consult and interact with our commercial customer base and internal stakeholders.  This role will suit a well-connected HVAC person with a history of successfully developing new business opportunities. 

Additional skills required are: 

  • Monitor performance of existing customers against set targets and budgets
  • Identify new business initiatives and develop sales strategies
  • Identify and investigate product development and improvement opportunities
  • Prepare call programs for consulting engineers and commercial contractors
  • Ensure promotion plans are in place to maximize growth 
  • Support Seeley International at Trade Shows, Exhibitions and product launches
  • Identify cost effective opportunities for advertising & promotion in the market place
  • Produce accurate monthly reports for executive meetings
  • Collect customer feedback and conduct market research

Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or related trade and business development; experience in the HVAC sector preferably in the reverse cycle, evaporative or gas air conditioning sector is advantageous together with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. A valid driver’s license is also a requirement.

An attractive remuneration package, commensurate with qualifications and experience will be negotiated to secure a top performer for this outstanding opportunity.
