Finance at Archa

Archa’s finance team leads all aspects of financial control, financial planning and analysis, internal and external reporting and provides input on debt funding transactions. We oversee the financial flows underpinning Archa’s corporate card program, and work closely with the various other teams to ensure they have access to the best possible information to do their jobs.

What you will do

As a Senior Accountant at Archa, you will be working in the finance team to help drive all aspects of financial control, assist with the implementation of value-added financial reporting and provide analytical support to the various business units. You will be involved in our budgeting, forecasting, reporting, billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. You will assist with our executive financial reporting, implementing, and maintaining financial systems and streamlining our data and reporting process. You will also assist our Risk team to continually optimise our credit underwriting process.

Your responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of updates for executive leadership on a regular basis Maintaining our core financial systems.
• Provide variance analysis and analytical support to the various teams.
• Assist with our budgeting, forecasting, and reporting efforts with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable process from start to finish, reconciliations of our bank accounts, including card program settlements, and preparation of the management account reporting pack.
• Take a leading role in our year end audit process.
• Assist our team to continually optimise our credit underwriting processes and modelling, ensuring we’re able to serve as many customers as possible while managing our internal risk appetite.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting / CA with 3+ years of professional experience
• Strong knowledge of AASB / IFRS
• Strong Excel knowledge
• Comfortable interacting with internal and external senior level executives
• Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
• Strong cross-functional experience, and ability to communicate effectively in a team-oriented environment
• A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm and driving personal vision
• A willingness to continue to learn, and to explore outside the box!

Nice to have

• Startup experience. Sometimes the earth moves beneath your feet at Archa so you've got to be able to wear lots of hats when needed, and adapt easily as we continue to grow
• Familiarity with databases (Tableau, etc.) is a plus
• Experience preparing financial statements
• Experience using Xero
• An understanding of credit underwriting and its inputs would be a big plus
• Knowledge of GST, Corporate tax, Payroll tax
