This role is a newly created position to report to the Head Of Finance, with the plans to succession into a Finance Manager role in the next 12-18 months. This business has an impressive growth trajectory and is looking to ideally grow their finance team headcount over the next 12 months too, offering plenty of career progression and developement for an aspiring Finance Manager with the right level of motivation and ambition.

The duties
- Financial reporting - preparing accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
- Oversee external audits, ensuring seamless collaboration with auditors
- Work closely with project managers to develop comprehensive project budgets and financial plans
- Monitor and analyse project costs, providing insights into budget variances
- Cost tracking and allocation - implementing robust cost tracking mechanisms for projects, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses
- Allocate costs to specific projects and cost centers to facilitate informed decision-making
- Lead the revenue recognition process for projects, ensuring compliance with accounting principles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise revenue recognition strategies
- Manage the allocation of resources (financial, human, and material) to support project objectives
- Conduct regular assessments of resource utilisation and recommend adjustments
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Provide insights into the financial performance of projects and contribute to overall business analysis
- CA or CPA qualified or equivalent
- 3-5 years' of progressive experience in financial accounting, with a focus on project accounting.
- Proficient in accounting software (mention specific software if applicable)
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and experience with external audits
- Any leadership and team management experince welcomed
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills
- Must be a perm resident or citizen, or have full working rights for a permanent capacity
