Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $120,859 to $133,183 super Valuation NSW is actively seeking a Senior Privacy and Audit Officer to join our newly formed Privacy & Data team. This key role involves providing expert advice on information management and privacy, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements. You will play a vital part in developing and implementing privacy protections for the release of agency information, and actively contribute to the design and delivery of associated audit activities. Additionally, the role includes interpreting and communicating analysis results to enhance compliance, inform decision-making, manage risk, and identify trends, patterns, and concerns. For more information read the full Role Description: Senior Privacy and Audit Officer About you We are looking for candidates with a strong background in information management and privacy, who have a deep understanding of data compliance best practices. You will have a comprehensive understanding of privacy laws, regulations and industry standards. A strong knowledge of audit methodologies and practice, as well as experience in conducting audits and assessments related to Privacy and data protection. You will also have a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills to identify and address privacy-related issues or concerns. About Us Valuation NSW (VNSW) provides services to, supports, and where appropriately delegated, delivers relevant functions on behalf of the Valuer General of NSW. This includes: Defining and setting the standards and policies for the land valuation system for rating and taxation purposes along with the determination of compensations through the compulsory acquisition process to ensure integrity within the NSW Government is upheld. Making valuations as well as monitoring, assurance and governance pertaining to the quality of the valuations undertaken relevant to both the Valuation of Land Act 1916 and the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991. Completing land valuations and determinations of compensation; and Providing other specialised valuation activities, services and determinations as and when required for other cluster or state-wide government partners.
