We are on the hunt for an amazing superstar to fill the role of Senior Receptionist! The Senior Receptionist is responsible for the entire front-end of the hospital; it is fun, fast paced and an incredibly rewarding role.

Responsibilities will include

• Senior Administration/Reception duties including maintaining reception duties for 3 different locations (including our new Large Animal Mobile vet), the veterinary hospital schedule, front end inventory and merchandise control, customer service team management duties and operations management including triage control, taking phone calls, greeting and discharging patients, payment handling and daily reconciliation, database control and organisation.
• Managing aspects of our marketing campaigns and promotions including online marketing software components (Social media, Google My Business, Google Ad Words), radio advertising, newspaper articles, local sponsorship, website marketing, blog etc
• This is a senior position so the ideal candidate must have exceptionally strong communication and organisational skills and outstanding customer service. 

Work Hours

• Full time position
• Hours between 8.00am till 5.15pm weekdays, 8.30am till 2pm some Saturdays

Remuneration

• Negotiable salary or hourly rate with an above award rate, depending upon experience and qualifications
• Inclusive of superannuation, casual loading and small accommodation allowance.

Essential Selection Criteria

• A high priority approach to patient and client care/customer service
• A genuine love for animals and outstanding animal handling practices
• Strong ability to work in a cohesive team environment as well as independently 
• Exceptional work ethic and ability to show initiative
• Quick learning skills and ability to work effectively in emergency/high pressure situations
• Great verbal and written communication skills 
• Good skills with computer software including MS Office
• Effective time management and organisational skills

Desired Selection Criteria

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the animal industry
• Previous experience with veterinary specific systems including RXWorks and Pet Tech Pro software systems
• Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration/Sales/Marketing/Frontline Management
• Minimum of  2 years’ experience in a similar role within a health/medical practice

About Emerald

Located about 2.5 hours west of Rockhampton, Emerald is a large rural town with a population of about 13,000. Emerald is renowned for its mining and agricultural resources. With 3 shopping centres, cinemas and close proximity to Lake Maraboon, Canarvon Gorge, and Gemfields region and the beach (only 3 hours away), Emerald doesn’t seem as rural as it sounds.
