As the AM Operations Manager, you'll overcome daily logistical challenges to ensure operations run smoothly. You will be responsible for:
- Linehaul operations ensuring freight is received, sorted and distributed under time sensitive deadlines
- Ensure optimised usage of company equipment, personnel resources and contract management
- Manage scheduling of repairs, maintenance and servicing of fleet
- Support the State Operations Manager to develop and implement change across key priorities, sector continuous improvement initiatives inline with national focus
- Deliver on compliance with WHS policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all
- Drive, and report on achievement of functional KPI
- Sound national Linehaul Operations experience and understanding of the Victorian Transport network and distribution channels
- Proven track record in transport routing efficiencies (pallet, carton & linehaul)
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing people and teams
- Ability to build strong client, site and inter depot relationships
- Previous involvement in organisational change projects and initiatives
- Analytical nature and process driven personality with a keen sense of urgency
- Strong leadership capabilities with a drive for continuous improvement & safety
- Demonstrated knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), Fatigue Management and understanding of NHVR and permits, WHS, and IR within a transport environment
- Ability to work independently, and make decisions aligned with organisational priorities and objectives
- Sound computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
