The PV Solar Engineer will support the production of design deliverables under direction from senior engineering staff.
You will- Plan and conduct professional engineering work
- Consult, recommend and advise on specialist engineering areas
- Check design work for technical accuracy and adequacy
- Supervise and co-ordinate multi-disciplined design activities
- Plan the design development process in accordance with company procedures
- Supervise the design development process across all disciplines
- Control and manage technical interfaces between disciplines, within disciplines, and with equipment suppliers and subcontractors
- Develop designs in accordance with company procedures
- Supervise draftspersons and graduate engineers for the documentation of designs
- Check other engineer’s designs
- Develop new design, engineering, or construction techniques within the discipline to improve effectiveness or efficiency of design or construction activities
- Undertake all responsibilities in a safe manner
- Ensure a safe working condition is present for all employees, contractors, and visitors
- Participate in daily pre-start meetings
- Tertiary Engineering Qualifications in an electrical discipline
- Qualifications acceptable for member grade of the Institution of Engineers, Australia
- Technical staff supervision experience
- Computer literacy and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software packages
- Experience in a "Design-for-Construction' environment
- Site based project engineering experience
- Solar farm experience
- Project Management experience
- Quality Management training
- Involvement in industry regulatory associations and interest groups
