Schofields Public School is located in the Northwest growth area of Sydney. The current enrolment is 1070 with 76% of students from a non-English speaking background and 32 First Nations students.
Our facilities feature shared collaborative learning spaces for students and staff including five inclusive learning spaces to cater to students with additional needs.
- Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with autism, mild to moderate intellectual disability and complex challenging behaviours including sensory needs K-6.
- Proven ability to differentiate curriculum and implement individualised learning programs through personalised plans that are inclusive and maximise student outcomes.
- Demonstrated capacity to implement effective wellbeing initiatives that maintain and enhance a positive, supportive and culturally inclusive classroom environment, underpinned by an understanding of the diverse needs of individual students.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work collaboratively, proactively and professionally with colleagues, parents and carers, school learning support officers, support agencies and the wider community.
