Training And Development Manager

Fresh & Save Fresh & Save  is a family owned, Queensland business. We are a warehouse format supermarket, stocking an adequate range of grocery goods to satisfy 95% of Australian consumer’s needs. We have an extensive fresh food offer with onsite butchers in all stores and full scratch bakeries in our larger stores.

Fresh & Save is a limited range, no frills format that aims to deliver significant savings to our customers on a full basket verses our competitors.

Fresh & Save are seeking an experienced Training and Development Manager to lead our organisation’s training efforts. This is a new position where the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with our business objectives. 

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Partnering with Senior Management to identify and assess current and future training needs.
• Design and implement training programmes that enhance the knowledge, skills, morale, and productivity of our team at all levels.
• Deliver engaging learning experiences using traditional and modern training methods. These may include mentoring, coaching, on the job, in class, digital and e-learning methodologies.
• Establish a Management Development program that provides recognised qualifications and a clear career path for aspiring Retail Leaders.
• Manage our apprentices in conjunction with our industry training partners
• Provide professional development support to our existing Management Team. 
• Monitoring and evaluating our training program’s effectiveness and ROI with appropriate reporting

Requirements and Skills

• A relevant qualification in education, human resources, or relevant field
• Proven work experience as a Training Manager
• A track record in designing and executing successful training programs
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods
• Be an effective collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills 
• Ability to plan, multi task and manage time effectively
• Experience in accessing government training subsidies and incentives
