The Gardens Club, is an initiative of the Wise Foundation. In 2013 Wise Foundation restored the heritage listed Curators Cottage to deliver a beautiful addition to the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens.
The main building has been converted into a unique venue to hold social events, weddings, private functions and business meetings. The venue accommodates up to 150 for cocktail or 60 people for private sit down dinners.
The café services the City Botanic Gardens seven days a week, serving Bear Bones coffee and light meals.
Best of all we make a difference. The Gardens Club Café provides training and employment to individuals facing barriers, with a focus on refugees and new migrants.

Amazing Opportunity
We are seeking an outstanding Wedding and Events Coordinator to join The Gardens Club team in a full or part time capacity.
The role will be predominately focused on driving event revenue and concepts, specialising in weddings and corporate events. The right candidate will hit the ground running with established industry contacts, and will be tasked with maximising the potential of incoming enquiries as well as sourcing new business within these markets.

Required:
2 + years experience in a similar hospitality/events role.
Strong sales background focused on weddings, corporate and social events.
Strong local knowledge of wedding market.
Motivation and innovation with the ability to lead a team by example.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Social Media savvy. You will be responsible for all of our social media business accounts.
QLD RSA or ability to acquire before commencing employment.
A high degree of computer competency with an ability to learn new software programs.
Ability to work flexible 5 days within a 7 day roster – weekends included (A standard working week will be Tuesday-Saturday).
