Randstad is partnering with a large education organisation based in Parramatta who are looking for a new accountant to join the team.
This Accountant will report directly to the Finance Manager and focus on budgeting & forecasting, identifying cost savings, partnering with multiple business units and assisting with compliance.
This is a full time permanent position based in Parramatta (easily accessible with public transportation) and parking is provided. This role will work across several sites within the Parramatta & Westmead areas.
The role is offering $120,000 + super and multiple other company benefits.
The responsibilities of the Accounting roles includes the following:
- Providing a high level operational finance support to multiple business units.. You will develop, implement and review the business units financial procedures and processes.
- Analyse results and budgets.
- Advise business units on appropriate strategies for improvement management and re-forecasting.
- Work with business units on planning facilities issues as well as advice on procurement & contract issues.
- Assisting with overall financial compliance, systems and procedures.
Desired skills and experience includes:
- Prior experience within the education sector is preferred but not essential.
- Ideally has CA/ CPA qualifications or be part qualified. This is not essential.
- Prior experience with budgeting and forecasting
- Ideally be able to identify cost savings and have an understanding of expenses.
- Ability to work in a changing environment.
- Ability to problem solve and operate well under pressure.
