The Project
The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising ACCIONA, MACA, and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion.
The project will deliver a major upgrade of the M80 Ring Road between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the North East Link tunnel entrance at Watsonia, providing a seamless connection to North East Link. Works includes 2km of new freeway upgrade, 3km of new freeway, separation of local roads from the freeway, bulk earthworks, retaining walls, bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.
Key accountabilities for the position
- Processing high volume invoices - Accounts payable
- Logging invoices & Dockets
- Raising Purchase Orders (i.e. for Project Engineers)
- Filing
- Invoice log reports
- Constant follow-up on invoices and approvals
- Maintaining up-to-date databases
- Preparing periodic reports & commentary on ABBC reportables
- Ensure invoices are correctly captured (logged), coded and authorised for processing
- Liaise with both suppliers and project staff to ensure a highly efficient and accurate processing of creditor invoices and related matters
- Assist with reconciliations and month end reporting
- Manage multiple tasks with a high-level attention to detail and accuracy
- Management of Project invoices email inbox, working folders and Finance filing systems
- Comply with and promote other alliance policies, guidelines and procedures
- Other duties that are consistent with your qualifications, skills and capabilities.
Skills & Experience Required
- An organised and diligent approach to your work and daily tasks
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A good understanding of financial accounting systems (SAP or similar)
- A good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of desktop applications, with proficiency in Excel a must
