The Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base throughout South East Queensland. Leveraging your strong sales acumen and relationship-building skills, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and achieving our business objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive Business Development initiatives and make a significant impact on our company's success.
The Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic Business Development plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Identify and target prospect clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and industry referrals.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to understand their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Conduct product/service presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features to potential customers.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in a timely manner.
- Track and report on sales performance metrics, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities for business growth.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions using CRM software.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record of success in Business Development, sales, or account management roles, preferably within the service industry.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and identify growth opportunities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on delivering results.
- Knowledge of the South East Queensland market and its business landscape is advantageous.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region as needed.
