About the Role

We are seeking a driven and hands-on Business Development Manager to join Allied Pumps mining division on a full-time permanent basis. Utilising your technical sales and stakeholder management skills, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, engaging, and cultivating new business opportunities, all while nurturing existing relationships with our key clients. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will work closely with our sales team to drive continual sales growth from an operational and strategic perspective. Although this role is based out of our Canning Vale HQ, regular travel to meet key stakeholders across WA as well as occasional interstate travel is required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining a robust opportunity pipeline by establishing new accounts and fostering relationships with potential customers.
  • Establishing strong connections with senior decision-makers and influential figures within applicable industries.
  • Proactively secure new business through existing and prospective customers to drive overall sales growth.
  • Actively identify and track potential long-term projects that align with our products, services, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with our sales team to prepare, review, and submit tenders and quotes.
  • Monitor and report on sales, activities, and KPI metrics to achieve work output targets.
  • Maintain and improve the compliance of quality processes and procedures to maximise sales efficiency, accuracy, and punctuality. 

About You

This opportunity requires a proactive and results-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a keen understanding of the sales process. The successful candidate will ideally come from a trade, construction, mining, LNG, or mineral industry to drive further growth and diversification of Allied Pump’s clientele. This person will also have:

  • Demonstrated previous B2B technical sales experience.
  • Previous experience in the pump or water infrastructure industry (desirable). 
  • Proven track record of sales success, with a strong understanding of consultation sales methodology.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to understand and impart technical information to customers.
  • Proficient in computer literacy, with medium-level skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A valid driver’s licence and full working rights in Australia.
