My client who have been established over 45 years ago and has become one of Australia's largest project lighting supplier are looking for a lighting consultant/BDM to join the team in NSW. The primary functions of the position is to achieve:
Profitability and growth by sales and design, gaining specifications with Engineers, Lighting designers and Architects in Sydney CBD.
To liaise with electrical contractors, wholesalers and builders to ensure successful win of the orders.
Key Duties:
Sales:
Responsible for sales to achieve company budget
Visit clients and perform detailed presentations
Educating clients with product knowledge to be specified into projects
Complete detailed lighting designs and cost of light calculations
Dealing with manufacturers - working on price and products for the benefit of all
Prepare sales reports and attend sales meetings
Projects (Commercial):
Design
Liaising with the specifiers
Finding the right solutions for the projects
Within budget getting products onto the tender packages
Business:
Continual development and improvement of work practices and processes
Providing input on how to improve the business or value add
Actively search out new opportunities in a positive manner
Record images of completed projects for promotional purposes
Your skills and experience:
Achieve set target - turnover and profit
Sales Management System Reporting
Ensuring all tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner, resulting in maximum efficiency
Actively search out new opportunities in a positive manner
Process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs
Experience within sales and the lighting industry or similar industry
Good communication skill and accurate numeracy skill
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and multitask
