Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join the team and spearhead their efforts in driving new business growth. As a key member of their organisation, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, expanding their client base, and fostering strategic partnerships within the road transport industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive Business Development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.
- Identify and research prospective clients, industries, and markets to target for Business Development initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their transportation needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Lead the negotiation and closing of contracts, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for both parties.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative service offerings and address client requirements effectively.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote our services and establish brand visibility.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years recent experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record of success in Business Development, sales, or account management roles within the transport or logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of road transport operations, regulations, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and drive initiatives to fruition.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving targets.
- Flexibility to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
