Our client has a new opportunity for an experienced sales professional working in the Utilities sector.
Based in Melbourne you will report to the Business Development Director in Brisbane and will fly to meet key account holders or potential new opportunities located in NSW and Tasmania. With an existing pipeline of customers and potential to grow new customers, you will be responsible for direct sales of company services and products to the utilities sector. You will manage the assigned customer base to increase sales, profits, market share and support brand image as well as identify and develop new and different business opportunities. You will be able to analyse markets / trends for business opportunities and create and maintain sales plans and schedules ensuring market coverage with appropriate contact frequency, based on business priorities and value.
Suitable candidates will have five years plus Business Development experience, Utility experience being particularly desirable. You will have applicable qualifications (Structural Engineering will be an advantage) with strong business and financial acumen. You well be effective at planning, preparing and presenting to prospective and current clients, on new product developments (staying abreast of new product developments) and determine winning price points, points of difference and write effective and successful proposals. You will have a successful track record in creating relationships with contacts inside each utility at various levels including senior level executives. You will have experience in recording customer activity, opportunity, contact information for allocated accounts on the Company system as well as excellent computer skills and be able to work from home office.
